OBC customers can now pay income tax through ATM

To give maximum benefits and services to their customers the banks are providing them with a whole rage of services to make banking an enjoyable experience. For that introduction of IT in banking helped a lot.

Recently Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) launched facility through which the OBC customer can make income tax payments through ATM. Presently very few banks are offering thi9s service to their customers and OBC is now a part of the selected few banks offering this service.

To enjoy this facility all a customer needs to do is visit the bank and register for the service. The customers can enjoy the facility through the 1,190 Oriental Bank of Commerce ATMs across the country.

Pensioners in Haryana to get their pension directly in their bank a/c

To check the corruption involved in the distribution of the pension, Haryana Government has decided to make use of the services of Electronic Banking Transfer System.

Geeta Bhukkal, the social justice and empowerment minister of Haryana informed that in order to enjoy the benefits of the service and in order to implement the service properly the beneficiaries would require having a bank account in the specified bank.

Business Correspondents will be appointed; they will visit the villages and will open bank account of the beneficiaries that do not have a bank account with the specified bank.

Once the bank account is opened, the pension of the beneficiary will be deposited in his bank account.

Pensions such as- old age samman bhatta, widow pension, handicapped pension and financial assistance to the destitute children, beneficiaries of Ladli Social Security Scheme, allowances to eunuchs and dwarfs and allowances to the Kashmiri Migrants were disbursed through Social Justice and Empowerment Department.
